Warm weather is upon us, and the sweet signs of Spring are starting to bloom. As the snow begins to melt, and the grass begins to green, many begin the much loved (or dreaded) tradition of spring cleaning. This means everything from house de-cluttering, garage cleaning or pairing down clothes to be given away. This idea can also be applied to your business.  Need an idea of where to start? Here are some suggestions: 1. Spring Cleaning: Taxes Tax season is in full swing, and if you have not gotten your documents and other necessary paperwork to your CPA, now is the time to get caught up and make sure to not miss your filing deadline. Upcoming tax deadlines include: March 15th for S Corporations, and April 15th for personal tax returns, C Corporations, and partnerships. 2. Spring Cleaning: Work Space Over the Winter months our work areas have the potential to accrue clutter. Paperwork from last year that has yet to be filed, or needs to be shredded, can pile up. Creating a tidy new space can be just the trick for new Spring clarity. Cleaning your home (if that is your work space right now), office or store; redesigning your space with new organization or subtracting things you no longer need is a great start to go along with warmer weather. Dust be gone! 3. Spring Cleaning: Mental Reset Emerging from the cold months of Winter can result in cobwebs and clutter. Not just in your house, but in your mind as well. Longer days of sunlight are an opportunity to remind yourself of your gratitudes, achievements, and obstacles overcome during the cold, dark months. Celebrate where you have been, with optimism of what’s to come. 4. Spring Cleaning : Revisit Your Goals! Revisit the goals you made for 2021 and note what you accomplished. What have you achieved? What do you need to improve? Take stock of the completed first Quarter and adjust the activities needed for the remainder of the year. Setting up you intentions for future months can lead to a fresh mind, and rejuvenated energy. Spring is here, and a new horizon awaits your dreams and goals.  |
